	Hi Helen If you google shortened names you get lots of sites with info. I know that Peggy is used for Margaret. Happy hunting :) Ann

	Peggy is usually for Margaret. Mary isn't usually shortened and May would be a name in it's own right. Kath. x

	Here are a few I can think of. Margaret can be Peggy,Meg.Maggie Mary can be shortened to May. Agnes -- Nan,Nancy Elizabeth--Liz,Lizzie,Bessy,Betty John--Jack,Jock Henry--Harry Marion
