Why can't I see my tree that I imported tonight and yet I've already had a hot match email from someone about someone that only appears in my new tree that I sent to be uploaded. I can't see that person appearing in my tree on GR yet?! How did I get the hot match email so soon?! Can anyone tell me the date and time of my uploaded tree please? I tried several times last night but it said it had an error but I've had a successful email from GR tonight saying it worked. I have logged out of the site and logged back in and I still can't see it. Claire |

you would have to give access to your tree for someone to see if it is there |

Thanks I think I can see it now but it has a few funnies in it as its got the same chap on there twice for some reason and it was him that i was looking at to see where the new data was. One record of him does not have it and the other record has all the links back. I'll try and sort that one tomorrow night now but at least it is up there now. Thanks Claire |

Don't forget that just because you haven't shared your whole tree, there's nothing to stop someone searching on a specific name with a range of dates and/or a place, and they can see individual parts of your tree (individual matches) just from the index. Someone working on the hunch that you are connected may well do several specific searches to find you matched repeatedly, and have a pretty good idea of the info you hold before they ever get in touch. |
