Thanks to everyone who replied yesterday, but I think I need further help. |

I did what everyone suggested: emptied cookies and temporary internet files, ran scans, downloaded updates from symantic, rebooted in safe mode.... (there was no question of quarantining the beast:I simply had a virus alert message flash up and was then denied access. No subsequent scans detected it.) and Norton antivirus won't run a scan. I haven't attempted to reopen my laptop as yet. Can I try any other remedy in safe mode or do I have to risk rebooting, hoping I can find a site to eliminate this little problem? Forgive me if I don't respond straight away, but I'm at work. |

Starting up in safe mode only allow the basic needs of the computer to run to be loaded, not all funtions of the system are loaded, run the scan in normal mode. Ron www.genealogyprinters*com |

Thanks, Ron. Fingers, toes and everything else crossed that this works. (Nice to meet you at Maidstone, by the way!) |
