32 - a second cousin once removed found through this site. I think the number will be a lot bigger with the next batch of hot matches. I opened my tree to her and she copied the relevant parts to her tree (no living people), but I have no problem with that as she's a genuine relative. |

Hi Tom, Most is 109, followed by 92 and then 88!! They are not close rellies of mine but have all had access to my tree!!!! Say no more!! I have 14 hot matches with 20 or more names that match with mine but I have only contacted about half of them. Tom....I have 10 that match with your name!!! I think that will rise slightly when I upload my latest tree!!! Deb |

Mine is 43 because some bloke (i won't call him a researcher, because copying someone else's work isn't research), who I allowed to see my tree, copied every name, date and place. He is now on his 3rd warning not to publish the details of living persons - he deletes them then waits a few months and then puts them back. I have learnt my lesson Vikkix |

Mine's 40, including both OH's side and mine, and children and grandchildren. Problem is I can't find where we are related. |

69, a genuine match several generations back. Just large victorian families and the fact that my great grandparents were cousins so I have matches both sides of their family. I do have 8 with over twenty genuine matches from different branches of the family. This is only on A-H so it should be more if I ever get the rest of the alphabet. The last batch of Hot matches was mainly for George Cox born 1862 all over the world except the one I wanted in Somerset. |

Mine's 35 but we had already contacted each other. Talking of hot matches, I have only ever received 2 lots - how many have you received? Asked GR but never received a reply! Debby |

That's a very good point, John. My HM's are only on the B's. Those numbers I gave will probably increase as I get further through the alphabet! Merry |

43 at the moment, but it goes up every month because the more people I find out about and enter on my tree, the more hotmatches I have with this one person. Sadly, I've had no answers to any emails so have given up on that. But looking on the bright side, at least I know I'm on the right track lol :) Bex |

70 - wow! My highest share the same g g g grandparents. They are my g g g grandparents twice and his once. (my g grandparents were cousins) and the only reason we haven't got more is because my tree on GR isn't totally up to date and we've hit a massive brick wall with that line of the family :-( |

If my Pamela had her full tree on here (I have, but she hasn't!), our hot matches would be over 1000 people! Merry |

Ooh, my top one is 70; if I remember rightly he is my double 5th cousin. We were already in contact with each other before Hot Matches started. Anybody got more than that? Kate. |

54 on my Ignored Hot Matches, with my 6th cousin, Pamela. Have not been in touch with her via GR. Several others on the same part of my tree who have smaller trees on this site, so between 20 and 45 matches. Again I haven't made any contact through this site. 52 with some other geezer who I can't be bothered with......don't know what relation he is to me. 25 with my first cousin who says he isn't remotely interested in Family History and wouldn't know a computer if it slapped his face, but has made a tree of 3,000 in 2 years and won't reply to my messages! no we hadn't - made contact through GR, but it's great because we were able to reunite my great auntie and his grandmother who hadn't seen each other for over 70 years! |

I have just deleted ALL my Hot Matches. But prior to that, the most I had was 17. Pity none of them matched. OC |

If you click on hotmatches, it tells you how many hotmatches you have with a person - the highest number I've got is 20 - something like my 3rd cousin. |
