If it's a birth reference you want, I can't see one in 1910. Kath. x

I looked on Tees-Valley-indexes.*co.uk (remove *). hi kathleen, its defo 1910 he was born 22/5/1910 in hartlepool and died 1978 in pontefract thanx gillie

He's registered as GEDDIS on Tees-Valley, as well (not unreasonable, since the GRO ''harvests'' from the Local ROs): Search births - results for GEDDIS 1910 Result Year Forename Initial Ref Number Click to contact 1 1910 WILLIAM H H-A-225-0-453 Hartlepool I'd picked up the other ones, just in case the ''1909'' was approximate, rather than accurate.
