Hello, I like a lot of people have been moaning about the service from the ONS lately - but today a result. Ordered 2 death certs on line on the 14th July, Estimated Despatch 20th July and today came back from shopping and what was waiting from me on the carpet was my 2 Certs - Pleased or what was I. So for once I would say 'Good Work ONS - keep it up'. Jan

Me too. Perhaps we should only say it very quietly though in case they get complacent....

I agree. I have just received two death certificates. Despatch date 21st July - arrived today 22nd July so I'm really pleased. They were sent TNT post which some people say takes longer (but that doesn't seem to be the case, and were delivered by GPO postman anyway) Also annoyed with myself as I'm expecting a marriage certificate (hopefully Monday), but have just realised that I've already bought this one (last year). Think the heat must be getting to my brain!!! Ah well, £7 down the drain!! Kath. x

Yes definatly need to add my praises - ordered 2 birth and 1 marriage cert's on Monday at about 2:30 in the afternoon. Recived all 3 in the same envelope yesterday morning. Fantastic. Used a local RO for the first time on Monday, Sheffield. Sent cheque, application form and sae off at 3 in the afternoon. Received a copy of the actual entry (long sized) on Wednesday morning. Did'nt even wait to cash the cheque. Things are definatly on the up, lol. Pen x
