Hiding living rellies on your tree

The so-called ''hidden'' living relations still come up on searches (and presumably on hot matches too). Typical of GR to do something half-a***ed - surely if you elect to hide the names of living people on your tree, then those names shouldn't be viewable by anyone except the tree owner? Richard

It's typical of GR to offer this option with no explanation whatsoever as to how it works! (Well, I couldn't find an explanation anywhere!) Merry

Good to know Smiley - that could cause some problems for people - if they have hidden living relatives to conceal sensitive information/relationships and then! Not much point hiding relatives then is there? Sadly it would seem it may be best not to share your tree! Helen

I saw a post about this option, accessed through our account details, what a good idea, except when you do open your tree to other members they can still click on your ''list of relations'', and see EVERYONE! So the only thing you are preventing is one persons relationship to another! Just wanted to make people aware of this... Sam
