Tree Builder's serious shortcomngs

Btw, a much easier way of building your tree is via the 'Immediate family' link on the left hand menu on this page. You can add rellies very easily there with minimal info, and edit existing ones to include 'Not known' too. Liz |

I was not aware you have to fill in exact dd/mm/yyyy dates. I have entered year of birth only with no trouble. Liz |

Particularly frustrating when you know one parent and children but not full details on the spouse. There is no option for 'Not known' in, for example, the County, but an entry is compulsory. So you have to guess, and may guess wrongly. |

I'm pulling out my few remaining hairs with frustration. Why, oh why does Tree Builder require so many fields to be filled in and exact dd/mm/yy dates? It precludes entering lots of useful information and even people. I imported a gedcom file and I've needed to delete information to keep Tree Builder happy. If genesreunited cannot sort this out, there should be a facility for exchanging gedcom files. |
