or get some credit and perhaps find them on the 1837 site 1861 I know people have found families on there and not on ancestry £5 for 50 credits Jeanette |

Julie, Thanks for your help. Was hoping it wouldn't come to a manual search through the entire census! The paralysis is a bit of a mystery as she seemed to have made a miraculous recovery by 1881 which gives no indication of any disability (not impossible I suppose). But even if she was in a hospital or some such institution in 1861, that would be in the census somewhere? thks, John |

hiya, i have looked but cannot see them, the only alternative I can come up with/suggest, is that you search the 1861 census, page by page, for bethnal green, It is possible they were missed out, but still on actual images, also i noticed that she was paralized by 71 census, could she have been in a Hospital/institue?? in 1861??
