Hi Gloria, It could very well be her - she may have lied about her age to get a job. We'll have to see what age is given on the marriage cert and whether or not that matches up with the age on the census.

Hi Tom, don't know if this is her, but a possible. In the 1901 it gives the civil parish of her birth as Lancaster, and the river Lune runs through Lancaster. Hi Helen, I couldn;t find any info on Southmoor either - it is possible that it is something to do with Manchester as it is supposedly in Lancashire (where she was born is supposedly in Lancashire not Manchester, hich is definately in Lancs lol)

Can't find Southmoor in my atlas....... I've googled up a Southmoor Road in Wythenshawe (Manchester) Could Alice have been born in that area?
