Whilst searching for one of my ancesters a Thomas Paxford, i found him living with his wife and mother in law on 1861 and 1871 census....great i thought that gives me the maiden name of his wife and details of her family, but her maiden name was an unusal one and keeps getting mistranscribed. I cant find them at all on 1841 census i was wondering if anyone can come up with another name for the mistrannscription. What i have so far is :- 1851 Sarah TYSOR ( 1786 Preston on Stour) husband is Samuel Tysor 1861 Sarah Syso (RG9/2230) 1871 Sarah Tysor (RG10/3205) 1871 Death Sarah TYSOE Janet

I see the 1851 lists Emma as daughter in law - this was often used as a term for step daughter. Hannah Parford abt 1811 Preston on Stour Wife Preston on Stour Gloucestershire Thomas Parford abt 1814 Standfield, Oxfordshire, England Head Preston on Stour Gloucestershire Emma Tysor abt 1836 Preston on Stour Daughter-in-law Preston on Stour Gloucestershire
