I applied for a cert back in early May and asked them to do a check as the cert I applied for had three enteries for the same person, same quarter, and same place. I received my cert after waiting weeks and when I received it I could not read it. The peeps on GRU helped me out with the wording. I did email them and received the usual standard reply and saying If I wanted a reply other than standard format to send an email with GQ, typed in the the topic box. So I did that and was told to return the cert. I felt it was not worth it by then as we had all worked out what it said by then. However I had this feeling that they had not done the check I asked. So I wrote to them asking them if they had and asked them to confirm some of the details in the cert they sent and enclosed a further cheque for £7.00. I recevied a very blunt reply two weeks later by email telling me I could had emailed them. ARRGGGGGGGGGGGGG. The email was contradictary in one sentence it said as it was their fault there would be no charge and then in another sentence it said they would let me know if there was a charge and if there was I would have to re-apply again!!!!! so I am real mad by now. I emailed then a lovely reply!!!!!! telling them there was now way I was going to reapply and you guessed I recevied their standard reply. So sorry this is so long but have to get it off my chest as I am mad. I recevied another email today telling me they have refunded my account with £4.00 but no confirmation that they have checked all the entries and no reference to my comment in my emails. I emailed them and guess what I recevied their standard reply. So I am no nearer knowing what the hell is going on. All I want to do is get on with my research and know that I am tracing the correct line. This has been going on since Mayyyyyyyyyyyyyy Gwen |

They made me think I was going mad and that it was not them that made the mistake but me and I was a nusiance. I dont think I am ever going to get a reply they said they are dealing with a lot at present but as explained my query should have at least been dealt with by now as it has been on going since, May Gwen |

Can you hear the screams GRO have just returned my call and I just want to scream and scream and scream, the person who was dealing with my query is on holiday for 6 weeks. They tried to tell me I would have to wait until she returns and they said it was because they have spent a lot of time on this and I have not paid. So I asked why did they cash my cheque surely that is classed as paying!!!!!!! I cannot tell what I said to them. To cut a long story short they promised to reply today so will have to wait and see I am not confident. Gwen |
