thanks everyon i am in a real tiswas now. i dont know which is which. i need a margaret as daughter born c1854 in ireland and her father is john carney born c 1828 in ireland. my head hutrs and this heat doesnt help love linda x |

i am beginning to think that the 1881 that i have and the one you have found elaine are not the right one. the person i have in my family is margaret carney born galway in i know her dad is john carney i see that on the 1881 the head of the household is james. so perhaps this isnot the right one . margaret married patrick oneill in farworth lancashire in 1872 and she was aged 18years and then they lived in leigh lancashire i found a margaret in farnworth living as a lodgerin 1871 i dont know if that is her or not. with them both being irish i know nothing else about them and cant send for birth cets etc.. love linda x x |

.... and here she is in 186, but her mother with the same name is still alive so she uses the name Bridget. My mother's grandmother took her mother's name after she died. A quaint Victorian custom.
