Well done Jim. Elaine, you know to order the certs only use the GRO online site (or the local office for the event) as there are some con artiste sites who have charged people up to £50!!! for a cert. Online its £7 and I think the local offices charge about the same. |

I think it is somehwere between 1911 and 1950 from what this woman has given me, so these numbers are not the same ones as used to order birth certs? |

Doesnt Thanet have its own parish records site? Have a google and check. How long ago are we talking? If its after 1837 you may find it on the freebmd or ancestry bmd index. |

Sounds like the details straight out of the parish records,which should have a date quoted with them,but has been ommited. The numbers wouldn't mean anything when used for a bmd GRO search. Glen |

Someone at a church looked this up for me and gave me the following information but I do not have a date - Register of births number 19 for st peter in Thanet, entry number 680 for Alfred C. E. Ward - is there a way using these numbers i can get a qtr and a year? Thanks |
