Helen, with a name like Flinn i would presume that he was Irish and as some did not register their children when they where first born maybe this is the reason. Could be that he joined the forces or perhaps went over- seas and at that time needed to be registered. Hope this info helps you. Janet |

Just a theory,maybe he had to apply for a birth cert when he married,and found some foul up with his original registration? It seems a long time after to have an amendment made,is there a 1955 GRO ref? Glen |

It could be that he was never registered for one thing or another and when he needed a birth cert for some reason he had to have the birth registered?!? |

Hi, receieved a birth cert this morning. Nicholas Flinn born 1955 date of registration january 1974?? Any guess why??? Many thanks helen |
