You might be interested to know that the home of Napolean is in Chislehurst Kent. Back in the times when the European aristocracy mingled the Napolean 111 family settled in Chislehust and the family home is now the clubhouse for Chislehurst golf club.

Helen, Thanks for the offer but I had a deal from them and have credits for a whole year, perhaps someone else would like to use it? Jen

Hi Helen Just reading through and spotted the mention of a Hogg family being in-laws of your Money's. I was helping GR member 'Fuzzy Boxhall' with her Hogg ancestors recently (they ended up in south London area)...you might want to cross-reference with her to see if there's a connection. Athena

Ahhhh, takes me back to my childhood. Remember Napoleon Solo, 'the Man from U.N.C.L.E.'? Sadly, Robert Vaughn's now an old coffin-dodger with badly dyed hair on BBC's 'Hustle'. His sidekick, hearthrob David McCallum ('Ilya Kuryakin') is now an eccentric pathologist on Channel 5's N.C.I.S, and his patients look in better shape than he does. Oh, the passage of time.

Chris How spooky! I was only just thinking about you and wondering where you've been (hadn't seen you about the boards recently). Thank you - once again I am in your debt. Hope new carpet will be safely installed and that the paint fumes don't get you. nell

Mornin' Nell, Tee Hee indeed, great name! :)) 1841, he's down as, Napoln Mency 1851, ' ' Napoleon Bt May (with in laws, Hogg) Napoleon senior died Mar Qtr. 1888, as George and Louisa's son was born and died Dec. qtr, 1888. Great name to search about for, but new carpet coming today, so had to unplug, and re-route myself in this muddle here last night, amongst paint fumes in this heat! :)) Chris :) 1841, (Hogg is Hagg!) William Hagg, Horsleydown, Surrey.

On the same page choice of husband called Andrews or one called George Napoleon Money. Yes, I got GNM! His father was called Napoleon Buonaparte Money, but like all the folk with unusual names, he isn't to be found on all censuses. And George, born mid-1850s isn't with the family in 1861! They were in St John Horsleydown & Newington areas of Surrey.
