Though it is, of course, a wrench to leave such wonderful company for so long, I feel compelled to inform you that I will be disappearing from these boards for the next five weeks or so, due to being in some far-flung location or other (starting in Odessa, ending up in Ljubljana,,,). Have a wonderful summer everyone, hope it doesn't get too hot (oops, too late) and I'll see you all in September. If you're interested (which you're probably not, but I thought I'd put the plug in anyway), you can keep track of me at www(.)mytripjournal(.)com/morerandomwanderings.

Have a wonderful trip, am green with envy as I've always hankered to go to Odessa - especially now I've found 2 rellies managed a stone mine there in c1870! We look forward to hearing all about your experiences. Jay

Thank you everyone, I'm having a great time. Since you happen to mention it, Snowdrops, I was thinking of going to Pere Lachaise - anyone have any rellies buried there? :) I'll probably also be exploring some of the battle sites in Crimea (including the 'Valley of Death' which is apparently now a vineyard!). Janet - haven't found a mine yet but I'll let you know if I do!
