To those questioning that he should know all about the vicar and his wife. He cannot remember too much, because he was taken away from them when he was 9 years old. He is now 47. |

There are really two questions posed here. One is about the vicar and his wife,the other about (presumably) the adoption and birth family. The adoption question can only be answered by the social services,and with the adoptee only. Glen |

Your nephew is the only person who can access these records, which will be held by the local Authority (but I beleive he can contact his nearest Social Services Dept, who will set things in motion). Tell him not to be put off if the initial response is that the records have been burnt, or were destroyed by fire - this seems to be the stock reply to anyone seeking their origins - the whole of the British Isles must have been on fire for years, if you listen to everyone who has been told that! My adopted nephew was given away by his mother when he was born in 1959. He was fostered by a Unitarian vicar and his wife(they already had 3 children). How do I find out more details of this vicar and his wife. but he now wants to know more about his early life |
