Trying to find a marriage between a Bertie Bevan and Rebecca Anderson, and drawing a blank. First child born 1914 in Swansea, can't seem to find records of his other siblings Bob and Margaret either. I've searched the marriage records from 1910 to 1920 for their marriage in England and Wales. Is anyone able to look up a marriage in Scotland for around those years because thats the only explanation i can see! Any tips welcome, thanks Liz |

Hi Liz Do you have the birth certificate for the child born in 1914? Have you looked for other births, simply with Bevan as a surname and maiden surname Anderson? Bob is probably Robert, but it might be a second christian name. Similarly, Bertie might be the given name, but it could be Albert, Bertram, Herbert or a more exotic variant. The other possibility is that Rebecca married as a widow. |

Yes i have his birth cert, and have looked for other births with that critiera. There are a few other births but none that look promising, im thinking they may have been born in Scotland? This would explain why there seems to be no records! I didn't know that it was free to search the website, i'll have a look now thanks |

I don't know if it could be a sibling because the births are in different places, sounds abit impossible! Unless they were just registered in different places. |

There's two possibilities for Bertie in Wales but is impossible to tell which ones him because i haven't found a marriage record. With Rebecca i don't know where to look because i don't know where or when she was born. Not alot of help lol, i would list the census info for the two possibilities but don't have access to ancestry at present. |

Pontypridd is between Swansea and Cardiff - hardly the other side of the world! The MMNs match so this is much more likely than Scotland!! |
