Did you notice how many Robin Hoods come up if you search this name on the census returns loads!!!!!! So I searched other famous names like William Shakespear and John Wayne there are loads. LOL Gwen

one of my bloodlines goes back to edwinstowe in notts,which is where they were supposed to have married and bizarre though it may be ,my step father was born in the village where liitle johns grave is(his childhood room looked onto the graveyard)..in hathersage -derbyshire.

Linda, I can do better than that. My 3x great grandfather came from outer space. I've decided to write about it for one of those trashy mags. The only way someone can prove me wrong is find where he did come from. Win.win!!.

Was looking for some of the family on IGI on Family Search and found names and places like Nottingham and Sherwood. Hubby suggested I look for Robin Hood. There he was, with wife and parents. I'm trying to find someone who's got their tree back to Adam and Eve. I'm sure they are there, just takes longer to find without a surname. It begs the question!! Why???
