Thanks to those of you who replied and said you could but I still can't! I just get a blank white page! What address are you using please? I do have a subscription and have been trying to access it from bookmarks - I haven't used the site for ages so maybe something has changed? I can access any other sites I want so internet connection is fine. Thanks Janet |

It's been playing silly b**gers with me for a week or two. If I try to use my bookmarks the page won't load. (the blue bar keeps flashing as fully loaded but the page never loads) BUT if I use one of the entries in history I get in straight away. I am finding it VERY irritating (and yes I have cleared cache, cookies and all the other suggested things). Jools |

The 'blank' page is probably stored in your temporary internet files and needs to be cleared. If using Internet Explorer, click on Tools/Internet Options. The 'General' tab should now apprear. On the 'Temporay Internet Files' click on 'Delete Files'. Then scroll down to 'History' and click on 'Clear History'. Click 'Apply' at the bottom of the box and then OK. Close Internet Explorer, restart your computer and hopefully Ancestry should now work. Or try just clicking on the 'refresh' icon in the Internet Explorer toolbar ( whilst the blank page is displayed) , it might work. Nothing has changed re the Ancestry address, it's just that your internet history has a blank page stored for it and will always attempt to display the page that it last stored for that address. This is a 'feature' of Internet browsers and is an attempt to speed up browsing by not having to fetch a new page each time. If using Firefox, then go to Tools/Options/Privacy/Cache and clear the cache, then restart as above. Good luck. Paul |
