Not yet. They are a right pain in the bum! My Great Aunt before she died said we were related to the Teuns (proven) and the Childs family which I am still trying to find. |

In that 1841 census James should be 75 (1766) and Elizabeth should be 55 (1786)! Merry |

A hint on Norfolk pronunciations (learned from receiving Look East as our regional news programme). Happisburgh is pronounced Hazeborough. Hence the enumerator mangling it into Hasbro etc. There are other places around there with non-phonetic pronunciation. Wandering off-topic, a couple of extreme examples in Scotland spring to mind - Strathaven (pron. Straven) and Milngavie (pron. Mulgye). |

I went through the ancestry images but now trying to find my way round the problem ie what else could it be under? I wonder really like to trace it back to find out if they are Dutch or not. I am related to the Teuns twice once through My G something Sudder Aunt marrying Betie Teun and Emma Ewles marrying Joseph Teun. |

Hi Pippa, FreeBMD has very little coverage for those years so a search on all Josephs born in Yarmouth didn't work. I'm afraid it's a question of going through all the images or waiting until these years are transcribed. Rose |

I am trying to find the birth of Joseph Teun. His marriage is listed under Turn so I know that I have a huge task but I have looked under Turn, Teun and Tune. I really would like to find his mother's maiden name. Here is the household in 1861: Eliza June abt 1813 Hasbro, Norfolk, England Head Great Yarmouth St Nicholas Norfolk View Record Josep June abt 1858 Great Yarmouth, Norfolk, England Son Great Yarmouth St Nicholas Norfolk Father is listed as Joseph on his marriage cert. Thanks in advance! |
