hello! you've all been very helpful. Following your questions, I went to see if I could find them on censuses, but looking back at this, I think that somewhere on OneTreeWorld, the Daubs have been added by mistake, my Henry Tuvey was born at the same time as Henry Daub , but after I'd done a search for H Tuvey it said the Daubs were his children!

Perhaps the parents of the children had died - and Henry and Eliza were taking care of them. What names were they registered under? Can you give us a census reference so we can have a look?

Are the names consistent or is it just one record where they are wrong? Where is this? nell

Does anyone have an explanation why some of the relatives I've traced back names change? The first batch of children to Henry Tuvey and Eliza (nee Lake), have the surname of Tuvey....but then there are at least 5 others who then have the surname Daub, but still have the same 2 parents. Just interested to know why?
