Come and work here then - it does occasionally get busy but the rest of the time we're free to muck around on the computer. |

Paul, if you look closely at the image of the first one, it appears her name was Pollock but some 'clever' person has changed it. |

Paul, You were not around for the infamous beaver blower thread were you..?..your thread brings back some great memories-OC will remember it fondly-she started it all,and it ended up about 200 posts, full of stuff that we didnt think we would get away with-but they were real people-I have never cried so much in my life.....I printed it all off before it was eventually deleted a few months later-I'll try and dig it out..........there were some incredible ones. |

You'll have to look this up too as I have no intention of putting this name on this thread! He's the mate on board a sailing boat called the Thistle, so here's the Captain - look him up and see the name of the mate sailing with him. (Or don't if you're easily offended.) 1901 England Census Record Name: Robert Bell Age: 44 Estimated birth year: abt 1857 Relation: Master Household: View other family members Gender: Male Where born: Barnton Near Northwich, Cheshire, England Civil parish: Vessels Town: Carriers Dock Liverpool County/Island: Lancashire Country: England Source information: RG13/3464 Registration district: West Derby Sub-registration district: Bootle ED, institution, or vessel: Thistle (2) Folio: 137 Page: Household schedule number: 1 |

An entry on another thread has given me an idea for a little Sunday Morning entertainment. Every now and then I come across a census entry where the householder has clearly been taking the mickey but the straight-faced enumerator has still entered the details as stated. Here are a couple I've found - can you match these? |
