I may be a little thick (its the age you know) but what would my URL be I tried that google site but when I did a google for my new info all I got was pages on some famous actress What did I do wrong ?? and please remember I am on a small budget.

I thought you wanted your 50p back. Val, your url is the address that appears in the box at the top of the page when you look at your family home page. It will be something like http://familytreemaker.genealogy.com/users/ and then your personal bit. Go to FTM, click on view my home page and then when it goes there look at the address in the address panel. And it doesnt appear straight away, google check it out first and then add it in a few weeks.

I can't help thinking that i would be better having 'tinsel knickers' in my URL. You can do a similiar thing with Yahoo but it takes about three months to appear on the searches. I just hit every one that appeared with the e-mail from the site i got my counter from. Glen

Well, Ive had people pick mine up and when I googled them my name appears and strangely any pdfs Ive added on the website - you know the little interne tree things - I cant edit my homepage at the mo since my puter hard drive went, its not recognising me. I only backed up my tree a month ago but Ive lost all my entries since 6 June. However, to my great relief, the info is still on my family home page so as soon as I can I shall go through all the bits Ive added and put them back on my tree program. What a relief! And I just googled my name and got the website.

I am silly I put the Tribalpages url into the google site , I will try again, thanks thats a £1 I owe you , or do I get two tips for the price of one ??????????.

very funny Heather, I did find him you know he was the father of my Bigamist and because he was a PIANO FORTE MAKER which is quite unusual found him easily. Anyway Life membership sounds good to me will I get a receipt ??????????? as I dont want you forgetting and trying to charge me again !!!!!
