I have found all of the siblings I think, just not that Alfred!! He was in the middle of the brood so not likely to be name confused. I wondered if he had been born back in Somerset at his grandparents....but that was fruitless. And for the years I mentioned I did do the Bennett, Sennett things....nada!! I will just quietly poke my eye out with a pencil!!!! VP

VP Do you know his mothers maiden name and is it possible that his parents wed after he was born?? In which case he would be registered under his mums name! I just had a quick look for some of the births of his older siblings and couldn't find them..Have you found the older ones? Deb

Thanks Elaine, I have that census also. I have been able to find nearly of the registration info excpet for Alfred....and he is the great grandfather...grrrr!! it is frustrating. VP

Try names that could easily be mistaken.... Bennett springs to mind straight away.

I am trying to find Alfred Dennett born around 1884 or so it would appear from his marriage certificate. I cannot find his birth registration. I have searched every which way, even waded thru the Dorset OPC. The census says he was born in Milton Abbas....hmmm!!!! Is there perhaps some parts of Dorset's registers that have not been transcribed. I have gone thru 1837 and checked every Dennett born 1882-1885.....no Alfred. Does any one have any brilliant suggestions????help??? Thanks VP
