I bought what I thought was my ggrans birth cert a couple of years ago. Since then I have discovered that it is not hers. The cert is for Emma Lewis of Pennerley, Shropshire born July 1865 and registered in November 1865. This Emma I have since discovered was buried in May 1866. There is another birth registered for an Emma Lewis in Jun 1866 in the same district, I know from marriage certs and old letters that I have the right family but have a nagging feeling that I should buy the second cert. Would you buy it?

I would, but partly because one of my missions is to get all the certificates available for my direct line ancestors. After 10 years or so I'm still only about half way there, as I keep needing to get other certs for what appear to be more interesting situations, so my direct ones keep being put on the back burner!
