Thanks to ebay I have an album full of old family photos which belonged to my grandfathers great aunt winging its way to me in the post. We were over the moon when we won the auction as there were several others bidding. Still can't believe my luck George

The funny thing is, I often check ebay for family stuff but it was someone else who emailed us to let us know about it. Our hearts were racing in the last few minutes in case someone jumped in and outbid us. I'll check Ebay moreoften now, see if I can grab any thing else. George

some of them, the wonderful seller put in his write up about the item, pictures of quite a few of the photos and noted which people were named :~)

Well done George. I'm sure there will be plenty to interest you in the photos. We bid last year on a ginger beer bottle embossed with the name of the company started and run by my father in law's grandfather, in Hampshire. Bidding was frantic in the last few minutes and we ended up paying more than we had at first intended but it was worth every penny to see f-in-l's face when we gave it to him. Gwyn

George, you should take the opportunity to contact the other unsuccessful eBay bidders as you may find you are related to them!

How you go about looking for such things please? I had a look on eBay and couldn't find anything, maybe I was looking in the wrong category.
