Thanks Sue the 1861 one looks very promising as the families lived in the St Clements area until 1900's !!! In fact there are still distant relations in the area now !!! I will work on all this info.............thank you everyone for your help........sometimes you look at so many censuses you 'can't see the wood for the trees' Gill

Thanks Sue and Elaine..............I will try those. I am keeping the Wainwright in mind it could be mother's maiden name He has signed himself Thomas Wainwright White...on Joseph's marriage cert 1905 when he was a shippping clerk Gill

TWW wasn't married in 1871, yes I have found his wife Fanny in 1871..but of course that is no help I have found a Thomas WILCOCK White in 1871 with a father George.I am wondering if he changed his middle name............I am clutching art straws now after so much searching

Have you tried tracing for others in the family for 1881? I couldn't find a Thomas for 1881, but could for 1871 and 1891. When I tried another member, he was down as 'Thos' Anne

Thomas Wainwright White born c 1855 !…I have his son’s Birth cert (my g father) 1879 2…I have TWW’s marriage cert 5/10/1878 12 Platt St Manchester he was a foreman father George White a coal hawker 3 I have TWW and family in 1881..16 Rowsley St Beswick Mancester BUT I can’t find either TWW or his father in 1871 Any help or suggestions gratefully received…………
