If they were lodgers, the information given to the enumerator would probably be from the head of household, or landlord, who wouldn't necessarily be bothered about where his tenants were from, as long as they paid the rent. I've got a boarder with my gt grandparents in 1901 from France. It does give her place of birth, but its indecipherable and doesn't look like anywhere I've heard of! nell |

NK means not known and foreign parts means 'not British Isles' I guess. Can you find them on another census, which might be a bit more specific? |

written on the census. I am assuming it means they are not from this country but does anyone know exactly what it means and who these people are and where they come from? Jean |
