Help FTM - where is my file?!?

Aaargh, just opened FTM after a week or so and it says it can't find my file and to check 'the directories and drives field to make sure you are supplying the correct path'! I burned my file to a dvd in june, as I do this once a month but I added a load of stuff after this. I don't understand where it has suddenly gone? Can anyone help :( |

Panic not!!! Go to start - bottom left of page click on Find click on documents in the box enter *.*ftw (in case you can´t see this it is asterisk - then a d o t - then asterisk - then the letters ftw) click on find does your file show up ? If so just click on it and it should open |

phew thanks, that brough up a list of my saved ones, found the most recent. But there is some info missing which i know i have already entered - i keep finding this, that when i return to my tree info i know i've put in isn't there. Is there a reason for this happening? am i doing something wrong? |

As long as the programme was closed down in the normal way then any data you have entered should be there. |

Actually I did get a message saying it wasn't shut down properly. Thanks for your help, I very nearly died :) |
