He won't have been registered in 1814 :o(( There are Marine Birth records, but they only began in 1837, same as the ordinary ones. He might have been baptised when they got here, but equally, he might have been born on an outward voyage, rather than a return voyage! Merry |

Paul Have you checked BMD for the time frame and left the area blank? Could be he was registered when they arrived at port? Elly |

I've an Edward Moody who is living in Hewcastle in the 1851 census. Says he was born in 1814 and birthplace is 'British Subject: Born at Sea'. Any tips on how I can find out more information? Thanks |
