hi snowdrops, many thanks i thought i'd done something wrong yet again ,as you may have gathered i'm not very good with the comp. it gets to tech for me sometimes. hazel.

Hazel All this is showing you is a small list of the most recent programmes you have used - by going into character map you added this to your list. In a few days when you have used different programmes you will find it falls off the list - unless you only ever use the same ones over and over again, in which case it may stay there for quite a while, or not move at all. But basically no, it doesn't matter that it's showing there - it's quite harmless. You can go into word and chose your character/s from there to add to your name if you weren't successful using the other method and still want to change it. Good luck Snowdrops

hi a couple of days ago some people were wanting to put some character's with their name well i tried but could;nt do it . but today i've turned on my comp and there on the left hand side [when you press start ]the character map is now on there . i guess what i'm trying to say, does it matter.hazel.
