Non-conformist records, South Tawton, Devon

Does any one have information on how I can go about seraching non-conformist records in Devon, specifically the parish of South Tawton? My family do not appear in the Parish Records and I'm beginning to think that they may have been Wesleyans or Bible Christians, both of whom were active in the area in the1800s. Many thanks, Teresa
