There are a couple of free family tree programs which can be downloaded from the internet - I don´t have details to hand but I am sure someone will post some details here for you in a moment or two! |

Sorry Susan, have just seen the message you have sent to me in reply to your previous thread. You will need a family tree program before you can open the tree that you have exported from GR or view info downloaded from the LDS site. One of the most popular ones at the moment is Family Tree Maker. The 2005 version costs about 10 pounds, the 2006 version costs about 24 pounds. Some versions come with a free Ancestry subscription which can be invaluable if you do not already have one. For future reference, if you want to reply to a message on here then click on ADD REPLY at the top of the page, your reply will then be shown on the board for all to see rather than being sent as a personal message (known as a pm) to an individual |

I have found ancestors on LDS family history site and I downloaded them on a GED file. My computer system wont let me open the files. Any tips would be appreciated. Susan |
