Anyone know how to put a copy of family tree onto a disc? I have exported my tree to a windows file GED and I have a CD burner but it wont let me open the file to look at it. Anyone got any suggestions.

Do you want a CD to distribute to family and friends? Family Historian (and I'm sure other packages) will create a CD which is viewable in a similar fashion to a website. Very easy to use. Derek

What family tree software program do you have on your computer. Where have you exported the Gedcom file from - is it from the GR site?
