Thankyou Linda and Carol... I've just been looking at their help pages and found the following reasons.. 1)Someone else is using your account. 2)You have logged in to your account on multiple computers at the same time (i.e., you did not log out before trying to log in on an additional computer). 3)You have deleted your cookies without first logging out of our website. But I have done none of these! Think I'll give it a while and keep trying then.. Sue |

Sue Why dont you try again, it may be OK now. Would you like anything looking up while you get it sorted? Sandra |

It happened to me a couple of months ago in exactly the same way as you described, I never log out either. I just waited for a while and logged in again as normal. I have no idea why it happened. Lots of people have been complaining about it playing up today, so maybe the site has a problem Linda |

I can't get into it either. Just a white screen. I used it about half an hour ago and it was fine. Carol |

Hi all, Has this ever happened to anyone else? I've just gone to Ancestry uk site - which I usually stay logged in to - and found that it had not kept me signed in. So I signed in and got this message....Has someone hijacked my Ancestry sub?... License Limit Exceeded What does this mean? Your account is currently being used on another computer. Your Ancestry account provides a single-user license and can only be accessed by one person at a time. How did this happen? 1.You are still logged into your account on another computer Solution 1 – After 30 minutes of inactivity your account will be available and you will be able to login from any computer. Solution 2 – On the computer that is currently logged in, click the “log out” button in the upper right hand corner of the Ancestry site. Your account will then be available from any computer. 2. Someone else has logged into your account Solution – Contact customer support at 0800 404 9723 (free phone) or +1 801 705 7620 (a toll call) to reset your account and password. If you would like to open an additional account at Ancestry, please call 0800 404 9723 (free phone) or +1 801 705 7620 (a toll call). I really don't know whats going on here...I don't have another computer ( as per No. 1 above) ! Sue |
