This is what I have 1841 census Maria Cutting 1813 Maria Cutting 1834 Sophia Cutting 1837 Thomas Cutting 1839 All living in Erpingham village Norfolk The mother is described as married not widowed? 1851 census Sophia is alone in Erpingham Workhouse Sophia’s marriage in 1857 to William Davies Aylesham I have all the info after this I can not find the births of Sophia or Thomas And I am presuming that both Marias and Thomas died before 1851 as I can’t find them on the 1851 census but i have not found hier deaths either Also if I send for Sophia’s marriage certificate will it give me her fathers name and mathers maiden name even though she was orphaned Sorry I am rather new to this Regards Caroline

If she was orphaned it may say father deceased on marriage cert. It won't have mother's maiden name thats only on birth cert Yvonne

There is a Mary Cutting aged 16, house servant, born Erpingham, in Aylsham in 1851 census - could this be Maria, Sophia's sister? jay

Got a thomas Cutting, b 1837 caistor 14 275, Sophia blunt Cutting b 1839 caister 14 300. Dates round the wrong way?? Rod

There is a Sophia Blant Cutting born 1840 mar qtr in Caistor I think, don't know where that is? Yvonne Sorry I didn't notice this had already been posted

Thank you Janet that Mary is deffinately worth looking into Sophia seems to be born in 1837 on all later census thanks every one for your help Caroline
