I have 22 so far do you think I am going for the record, what a waste of money thats 22 @ £7 £154 I really must not be so impatient and research a bit more before I send for them.But of course it would help if their names werent so common.

Don't worry I have hundreds of them and if I counted the number I had I would probably faint.But I get a lot as presents.My husband gave me some money for my birthday and I bought a load.I could have bought some clothes but certs are so much more exciting ,don't you think? I have given the wrong ones away,so i help someone instead of them having to buy them.Really i have a lot of incorrect ones and have even doubled up and bought 2 the same!

thats a lot Hannah how long have you been researching your lot years ??? How do you give them away how do you find who wants them I did register some on a site quite a while back but nobody so far has asked for them. I do wish they all had unusual names so much easier to match them. And yes I agree Certs are far better than anything else even Chocolate. I think.

If I ever get it Heather , I put the Disc in yesterday and nothing happened so am going to ring them today, by the way is this a chargeable tip ???

Val, I have been researching about 5 years. I find the names of people on the genes site and send a message saying I have a cert that may be of some relavance.Some people are reluctant to give me their address so then I send it via e-mail. Actually my daughter does that!!

I havent got that many wrong certs, but I have got 2 wrong ones twice!!! 'gulp' how did I manage that? What I have done now is, listed my wrong ones with their GRO ref no's. Then I always check this list before I order again, just in case I do that damn silly thing again. Margaret

Margaret thats a good idea thats what I should have done, will do in future , think of all the right ones I could have afforded , makes me sick.

Val, you cant go online until you have given talktalk a MAC code which you get from your old service provider. First of all you get your telephone line changed over (and get all the free national and international calls) then they send you a modem and disc (how did you get one already?) and give you a date for when you go online. You then install the software on that date and bingo, youre with talktalk broadband.

Heather its okay just rang them again and the first man was just a bit thick. all ordered should be with me sometime this Month , and as soon as I get it will pay you your commission.

Anyone who has downloaded wrong BDM & census certificates, can, if they wish, send copies to me. During the years I have been researching my tree, I have noticed how many certs are wrongly recorded, and names changed. As a result many people are unable to find their relatives. I would like to put these certs to good use, by making them available to others online. The service will be non-profit making. If you have any certs to spare, please contact me.
