It was probably a suggestion by Ed. Lovely news OC and well done Chris. It is strange how you seem to have a barren period and then suddenly info is coming in from all directions. I had that a little while back and to my shame, realised I havent even recorded all of it because I had news re three lines all at once.

So, if the boards are shuffling about does that mean Records is now Tips and General is now Records? Is this a cunning plan to fool people or just me? Snowdrops

You do realise OC that according to Ed you have violated this board once again. I really think you should remove it now...transfer it at once to the Success board where no-one will delight in your treasures. Kat

Last nights thread certainly seemed to stir up some interest.Strange how things suddenly happen isn't it.I had the same last week, when i suddenly chanced upon a name and three hours later had the baptism, birth, census and marriage details for another branch of around 40 very likely hopefuls. Glen

I'm really pleased for you, sounds like you are going to be realy busy adding people to your tree now. Just shows us all that if we keep going and going that eventually we will get there. Jen

OC Do you worry about all this inter marrying? I have quite a bit of it myself and it gets very complicated when trying to connect them on my tree! Pauline

Well! What a day today! After months in the doldrums, treading water on the FH side, today I have info positively raining down on my head! Yest I posted a thread requesting info on an actress Josephine Lesley Bell. It was very iffy info I was working on, but no stone unturned as they say. Wonderful Chris has just emailed me to say she found an announcement of an engagement in the Times - Josephine Lesley Bell, daughter of Mrs Edna Foden Holden and did I want it???!! I was told that Josephine's mother was called Ada, but this is absolutely and definitely her - because of the Foden name! The Fodens are part of another enigma (the Admiral Gus Walker, who turned out to be an AFM, lol). My relatives never married anyone they werent related to, so this is yet another tangled thread in my peculiar family. And if that wasnt enough anyway - my 3 x cousin phoned me last night with the above vagueness about Josephine Bell, but also said he had found a marriage for another of our mutual cousins. Sadly, this man was a widower by 1891, no children - end of the line, I thought and sort of idly looked to see if I could find another marriage for him, not expecting to find anything... Blimey! He married his cousin, daughter of our missing 3 x G.Uncle! 3 x GUncle has children born in US - THAT'S where he was hiding! It was thanks to the sterling sleuthing of the Records Board that all this came out. I am absolutely overwhelmed with info, have found about 50 new rellies today and may have to have a bit of a lie down before I enter them on my tree! Thankyou everyone who has involved themselves in my incestuous family - the info I have received today is worth ten times the GR fee alone - pity it doesnt go to GRs Little Helpers! OC
