Run Out of Ideas - Can Anyone Help Please?

Im trying to find whether there are any descendants after 1950 in a specific family line. The parents : Cissie Holloway (nee Austin) George James Holloway George was the son of George Hugh Holloway, and Belvina Bonfanti / Jee. His brother was Jimmy Nervo of the Crazy Gang. I really dont know where to start to work out whether Cissy and George had any children. Cissy died in 1977, and was living in Brixton, SW London in 1951. George was born in 1895. Anyone have any bright ideas? Thanks Jay |

Children are likely to register the parents' deaths if the spouse has died. Have you checked these? A trawl through the GRO birth index for HOLLOWAY children with mother's maiden name AUSTIN is the only other way I can think of. Gwyn |

I will try to find a death certificate for Cissie - good idea - at least I know the year she died. Just hope her husband didnt outlive her and register her death!!! Thanks Jay |

Hi Was Cissy her real name? I think it's probably short for something else? I'm not sure what though. I've looked through 1976 and 1978 and she's not there either. I think a trawl through the birth indexes is the way to go. K |

No births recorded to anyone with the maiden name of Austin from 1950-1952. Love to do more but I need to pick my kids up from nursery! K |

don't know if dates or names are right but found this marriage George H Holloway - Margaret E Austin - Bermondsey Q1 1935 1d 200 Looked at deaths for Holloway in 1977 and there is a Margaret Ellen Holloway Q1 Marie |
