Hi Sylvia - I use a Visa debit card just keeping a small amount in the account specifically for certificates. By ordering them on line I save $8 cost of a bank cheque and also the postage, plus its much quicker saving 5/7 days for order to arrive from oz to the uk, also there are no actual bank charges involved and you are not tempted to spend more than is in the account. Have a word with your bank it could work out cheaper in the long run. |

That would be great Sue, if my cousin would have agreed to it but they didnt. Sylvia |

I ordered certs on 28th June from GRO and my despatch date is today - so i wouldnt start panicking yet I'd imagine your despatch date would have been yesterday so if they're on time they'll have only just entered the postal system. Zoe |

I certainly do Sylvia, I think I was watching for the postman the day after ordering, just in case they gave a wildy pessimistic dispatch date. Wouldn't it be cheaper (and possibly quicker) for someone in the UK to order them for you? If you have friends or family here it might be an option, and then perhaps reimburse them through PayPal. |

Thank you Nell and Ann, i did calculate around a month before they would be delivered, guess i will have to say maybe 6/8 weeks now and live in hope they will be earlier. I`m sure you all remember waiting for your first lot of certs to arrive Sylvia |

When you order online you should get the despatch date onscreen - best to make a note of it or print the page. I get an e-mail from WorldPay to confirm payment, but it doesn't give details of the order. But I've just got 2 certs a week later than expected and this is the first time GRO haven't stuck to the despatch date they gave me. nell |

I think my main worry is, i thought i might have had a delivery date from them in my email by now The high amout is because of the exchange rate and the bank charges $20 to do it Thank you |

Oh right. Well, taking into consideration the slowness of our postal system, they have probably only recently got to the GRO. So I shouldnt worry for a while yet. |

Sorry Sylv, what did you pay out for? That seems a lot of dosh. Did you go to the official GRO site at £7 a cert? |

After reading all the problems about the certs arriveing later than usual, i am begining to get worried, as $106 aud is a lot to pay out . I do know that mine will take a bit longer than those of you that live in England. I sent for 4 certs by post from Australia ( no credit card), on the 27th june. Should i have received notification by email by now? Has anyone sent by post from Oz and how long did it take? Thank you for any input Sylvia |
