I am now in contact with 5 distant cousins on my nan and grandads side of the family. whats the chances of me ever getting in touch with someone on my dads side. I have sent someone loads of messages who I think is connected to him thro his brother, but she does not reply. my parents split up when I was 6weeks old, my mum dosnt know much about his family, she didnt even know when his birthday was. I have my dads birth details, his mothers birth marriage and death details, his fathers marriage and death details, but nothing beyond that. cant believe there is no-one out there that may be related to my dad as he came from a large family, still, I live in hope. jean

Did your dad have just one brother or are there other siblings you can work forward? Janice

hi janice, I know two of his sisters names and only the one brothers name, dont know who the rest are, but I dont know what else I can find out regarding where my dads dad came from. jean

Jean I am stonewalled on my mothers side - they are Scottish and the one remaining brother I am in contact with, wont even tell me if the other brothers are dead or alive! OC
