Thanks Merry. Elizabeth I don't think knowing where they were born will help with 1841 as it will just say born out of county. |

I couldn't find them , but there seems to be possible entries for the hubby on the Historical Directories website. Unfortunately the site isn't working at the moment..... This one: Pigot & Co.'s Directory of Berks, Bucks ... , 1844. [Part 2: Hants to Wilts, & Wales] which covers, Hampshire Herefordshire Oxfordshire Somerset Wiltshire Wales 1750-1849 and this one: Swansea Directory, 1816 Wales 1750-1849 Sooooo frustrating! Were they born in Swansea? If you have any more info I'll look today. |

Please can anyone help me with a lookup for a rootschat member. I have been trying to find Henry and Catherine Sockett on the 1841 census. She thinks they moved from Swansea to Bath and has their deaths in Bath in 1848 and 1849. She thinks they were born about 1770 and that he was a solicitor. I think they must have been badly mistranscribed but nothing I have tried works. |
