Does anyone else think this is just 'coincidence'

Hi Nell thats what i thought, but i dont know if i will ever be able to proove it. Perhaps it might be an idea to see who was in the house up to 1924. i know that in 1891 another Walters was living there, so it seems to be a family home.

I think its an interesting coincidence - I would have a hunch that there;s a connection, but you would need to find some other evidence to confirm it. nell

Ok, i hope i dont bore too many people with this as i have mentioned these before. What i know: my g grandfather was Herbert Walters, father listed on his marriage cert as James Walters a gardner in 1924. Herberts address at the time was 32 Harrington Road, Desborough, Northants. Stories go that James' name wasnt James Walters, for various reasons. Herberts mother was born Harriet Lakin, born in Burton on Trent. She married John Williams in 1893 and had a child in 1894. By the time Herbert was born in 1896, Harriet is now called Florence and is living in London without her first husband or son. in 1901 they are living in Pancras, although James is nowhere to be found. On Herberts birth cert James is Edward James, and on the marriage cert in 1900 he is just James. His name varies between Edward and James on the birth certs i have found for his children so far. His father is also listed as John Walters (deceased) a plumber on his marriage cert. Right the coincidence is that in 1881 in Harrington Rd Desborough, there are a Walters family living in that house. In 1891 the family have moved to Yorkshire, and then in 1901 they too are in Pancras. There are 2 older sons called Mervyn and Torre who are missing in 1901. What is the possibility that James was a part of this family, and that he was possibly one of the older sons? There are no marriage or death certs of either of these 2 men. Is it just coincidence? Also what makes it more of a coincidence is that i was always told that the family owned a mine, and the head of the household in 1881 is a mine owner. I hope i havent confused you all!! Many thanks for any advice.
