Or you could search backwards from the birth date looking for the parents marriage (search under David Pickard) until you see one with the right spouse surname. Then look up the spouse name on the same Q of the index. Merry

Your fathers birth cert will have both his parents names listed

Hi, my fathers name is Victor Edgar Pickard, born 11th july 1932 in Kingston Upon Thames, his mothers maiden surname was Stanford or Stamford but do not know her first name, does anyone know how i can find out what her first name was? She was married i think to David Pickard.
