Thanks a million everybody. I now have the search page up! Turning the pop-up blocker off made no difference, but I got there by using the full website address for the search screen that Peter said. Kate.

Kate is right, there is a problem Bypass it by going to http://www.ancestry.)com/search/ remove ), of course.

hiya, kate http://www*ancestry*com/search/ i too got beige box but when i clicked on ancestry it took me straight there, have you got a pop up blocker on??? HTH Julie

Hi Linda, Thanks for offering. I won't bore you with what I was going to look up because it would be a bit of a long shot, but can you possibly give me the full website address of the 'search' page, please? And I will see if it loads onto my computer. I have been trying www.ancestry*com and getting that box I mentioned before. Thanks. Kate.

Is anybody else having the same trouble as me with the US version of ancestry? All I get is a beige box telling me about some exciting thing they have called 'Decades Finding Stories from the Census' and asking me to choose between 'See Stories from the Census' and 'Go Straight to Ancestry'. But every time I click on 'Go Straight to Ancestry' the same screen just appears again! I'll soon forget what I wanted to look up on there in the first place! Kate.
