Thanks Jen, have changed it. I think you're probably right about earthenware. There are other 'added' words like: 'M Chem' written over the occupation of Gas Stoker and 'Port' written over Drapers Errand Boy. |

Wild guess but could it mean 'earthenware' as opposed to other types of ceramic? Perhaps change your title of the thread to 'potters advice wanted'!! Good luck Jenxx |

Can anyone tell me what it means if the word EARTH has been added to the occupations of: Potters Kilnman, Potters Placer, Potters Dipper, Potters Decorator etc? Many thanks Christel |
