To export gedcom from FTM Go to file click on export select - entire file OR select individuals to include You will then be presented with a box where you put in the file name - choose a name for your file - would suggest something different from your normal FTM files to make it easier for you to find afterwards! In the box under the file name - where it says TYPE of file, click and select GEDCOM (*.GED) Click OK - and its done. As I don´t use Tribal pages will leave it to someone else to talk you through getting your file on to that site. |

I will nudge the tribal pages thread. Remember you have to register with tribal pages first and then confirm their E.mail which takes about a day. I exported my gedcom from here not ftm and had to do quite a bit of editing as tribal pages allows for kinship marriages. The free site is fine for what I need. |

save your fmt as a .ged file, then download the ged both your fmt & ged files will still be on your hard drive - all you do is send a copy Sue remember that will take abt 2 days for your ged to be useable in tribal. Also check tb tree. Sometimes have difficulty with connections (spouse etc) If I remember from when I did this mixes up marriage order (2nd becomes 1st etc) Sue |

I haven´t used Tribal Pages - so someone will correct me if I am wrong - but I imagine what you need to do is to EXPORT a Gedcom file from FTM - and then IMPORT the Gedcom file into Tribal Pages - and don´t worry you will not lose your original file in FTM. |
