I received a Death Cert from ONS Southport this morning. It is dated 4th July and the enclosure slip says Post 12/07/2006. Wow!!!

Oh lucky you Grandpa- Rang them this morning about 2 with despatch date of 30th- Had email from them on the 4th about one of them, because I had done a ref check, and the email said it had been despatched. Still not got any! Lady on the phone said that about 3 machines had broken down so delays in producing certs, although they are now trying to catch up. Also said that they were testing TNT at the moment who sort their own mail and then pass it to the Post Office. What's the point, just post it yourself is what I would think! Getting ssoooooooo frustrated. Enjoy your moment with your cert though :) Simone x

By the way, It appears that TNT were NOT involved in delivering mine.

Hello All I am still waiting for two that had a despatch date of 27th and 28th June. Every evening I rush home .... only to find they still haven't arrived. I have sent the GRO an e-mail .......... still waiting for a proper response to that as well!
